Allhumdulilah I have the honour of being a Muslim, a fact I do not take for granted and I am grateful everyday for being guided to the correct path. Like everyone else I feel often like things can be a struggle and recently find that its become a battle, I suspect I may be the victim of sihr which is black magic. Allahu alam. At first I was very afraid but I feel ok now, nothing can harm those whom Allah protects.
I believe that this was sent to me as a test by Allah s.w.t.a, and only He can remove it from me, I have been suffering with a big iman drop and what I can only describe as arguments in my mind which i don't believe were with myself though it sounds like my thoughts they are not mine. Things like " if I remove hijaab my life will be better" authubilahi mina shaitani rajeem.
I had hijama done recently and that cleared those thoughts allhumdulilah however I am still not feeling 100%. Until recently I didnt really think I could be a victim of sihr, I pray my salah and fast ramadan and follow the commands of Allah however we know that Muhammed saws was a victim of sihr. If the greatest man who walked the earth can fall victim to this then of course I can.
I am finding that keeping wuthu and making as much ibadah as possible very helpful, the cure is islam and Quran.
We do acts of Ibadah like reciting Subhannallah, Allhumdulilah, Allahu akbar 33 times after every salah and reciting ayah al Kursi to protect us from the enemy Shaitan. These acts benefit us greatly, we recieve barakah for them and they bring us closer to Allah subhanna wa taala. Subhannallah the Mercy of our Lord is amazing, He has given us so many blessings and encourages us to do these things to benefit our own souls He is above the need for our prayers, the prayer is for us to gain inshaallah.
I feel I am cleansing myself inside and out, improving my iman and drawing closer to Allah. I begg for his mercy and healing amin.

Plus v Minus
People often talk about the power of positive thought. I read about Lance Armstrong's (yeah i know hes a big fat cheater but he won the tour de France shortly after getting the all clear for cancer, thats worth something isnt it!) battle with cancer, he stated that positive thinking got him through, Allah cured him however without a doubt looking on the bright side and to the future helped a lot. There are many stories of people who pulled through to see a loved one again or those who survived long enough to see their children graduate or get married.
I want to talk about the power of negative thinking, not a subject mentioned much! So we know thinking happy thoughts helps us to recover and keeps us healthy so what do negative thoughts do?
Negative thoughts destroy us, mentally, physically and spiritually, totally. People who dwell on the bad, the glass half empty kind of people will always find themselves in a bad way. Its normal to get the odd bad day but to give in to it completely is just wrong. To allow yourself to become the kind of person who sucks the sunshine out of the day. it happens, I personally know several people who are like this. They have so much to be grateful for and yet they will always have something to moan about and a nasty comment to make. This is waswasa, the whispers from the shaitan that come to us and fuel our fears and our hate. I have a theory that people who's hearts are filled with bitterness will get seriously sick and probably die from it pretty quickly simply because they are black inside.
By reading Quran, praying every salah on time and doing as much ibadah as we can, we can earn the honour of being those with whom Allah is pleased with Inshaallah. This is not for everyone. We need to ask ourselves what kind of person we are, do you look at the good in your life and find peace or is it more find fault?

Beginning
This will be a place I come to share knowledge on health and clean eating. I am not a health freak or fitness fanatic, I don't work in the sports industry. I am a run of the mill mum of four, battling with my own health issues and looking for alternatives to conventional medicine.
If you have a long standing illness or symptoms you are concerned about I strongly recommend seeing your doctor or nurse, the internet is not a substitute for seven years (minimum) of medical training!
Over the years I have come to learn that doctors don't have all the answers and this is what the blog is about. For instance recently I went to see my G.P suffering sleeplessness, among other symptoms and she didn't ask me one single question about my life style of habits! I could have been drinking vats of coffee every night and then complaining of insomnia! We need to look at what we put into ourselves and where it comes from to maintain and heal our bodies.
